Hey everyone! I know I'm not very active around here, so I'll let you know what I've been up to, and what I'm hoping to do in 2017!
As more BattleCON sets come out, more systems and etc. are added and/or changed. So I guess that's why I've put this project a little bit on the back burner since I want to wait it out to see how these new systems are handled. With that said, I really do want to come back and revisit this project soon! The first thing I want to do is redo my entire design template to make it easier to make and edit individual cards. The actual design itself will remain the same, though. I think I'll focus a little less on balance patches, too. With having very little chances to actually play myself, worrying about balancing while I'm still creating more content just slows down everything, anyway. And I find it boring constantly remaking the same cards over and over...
Lately, I've been focusing more on YouTube stuff. It's relatively more rewarding for me (it's easier to get content out, and I haven't been able to play Smash BattleCON much), but even then my progress isn't as fast as I'd like. I do a "Let's Read Pokemon Adventures" show where I read the Pokemon manga aloud in silly voices.
Also, I recently started making a podcast with a friend of mine. The show is called "freshTAKE," and in it, I make my friend play a video game I love that he has never played before and vice versa. Then we discuss it! It's all about nostalgia vs modern perspective.
And that's it. One of my resolutions this year is to be more motivated and involved in my personal projects and actually make some good progress in all of them. So here's to you all, and an awesome year ahead!
