Here is a preview of what Shovel Knight's packing: imgur.com/oB4Xyg1-----Explanation: -Styles: Based on the relics he uses in the game. In BattleCON, spending magic tokens allows him to use the relic, while not spending the tokens is pretty much just him swinging his shovel (with the exception of throwing anchor, since I couldn't find any better way to make it as of yet) -Base This was based on the dig piles in the game, which, when dug, will usually reveal treasure, a carrot, or a moler. In BattleCON, since there's no treasure he regains magic tokens instead, as for the 4 life, a carrot in the Shovel Knight game lets you regain 4 HP, thus in BattleCON landing on tails restores 4 life. -Finishers Stalwart Shovel: Based on a move he does in the game where he charges his shovel, and when he lets go it does two thing. 1) Does major damage to the enemy in front of him, thus the +5 power bonus. 2) Releases a wave which does minor damage to far away opponents, thus the 0-8 range (8 for if you play on a 9 space board) Magicians Upgrade: Based on when Shovel Knight gets his magic meter upgraded in the game.

I feel like before I look too closely at this, I'll need to research Shovel Knight a bit and maybe get the game.
Looking at his UA, though, it seems similar to Oriana's UA from the original BattleCON games! Just a suggestion for something to look at for ideas if you haven't been looking already.

Oh wow! Oriana is very cool, though I don't want to make Shovel Knight too much like her, but I might look at her UA while making changes to Shovel Knight. I've also updated the preview, here is what I have for him so far: imgur.com/LWVjcOi

Just did a playtest of Shovel Knight vs Rosalina. Rosalina won. I see what must be changed now. Throwing Anchor will be modified seeing as the range kinda made the card useless (it'll be 0-2 instead of just 2), I also want to replace his finisher, The Requiem of Shield Knight, with something better (something that'll actually do damage). I might modify the base too but I'm not entirely sure about it yet.

I was the Rosalina >;3 Shovel Knight seems like he's in a bad position without his magic tokens, but he's still in a rough stage right now. I like his design so far, though!

Did another play test. Shovel Knight's getting better, but still gonna have to change some cards up a bit. Might have to fix his UA a bit, but we'll see.
