So, for the past month it's been pretty quiet from me. I've been working on other projects and also trying really hard to get some good playtesting in. However, none of my friends are as into BattleCON as I am and I only get very few sessions in. I did want to at least play as each character once and apply a final patch before creating a video and another reddit post, but you know what? That would take forever at this rate.
So what I'm going to do is this:
- I'll skip making the video and do that for maybe 3.0. This is partly because I don't really have the resources to do that (I was planning on using my cell phone camera, and I feel like that would be a bad idea). Also, I definitely want more characters set in stone.
- I'll get Steam and Tabletop Simulator. I feel playtesting would be SOOOO much easier if patches didn't have to constantly be printed out and if people could easily play online. This is a definitely good first step to accomplishing that.
- Then I'll make another imgur album and reddit post(s). This will get more traffic to the forums and get more people playing and giving ideas, which is nice!
- Also, as a side thing, I've worked a bit on the Solo/Co-op Adventure Mode. The enemies for the Mushroom Kingdom level have their stats and effects ready, and I'll just need to make the rooms and test it out myself (which should be simple). The challenge to that would be designing more cards for that mode, so I don't think this will be out in the next patch. But hey, it's something to look forward to!
And that's that! Again, if you're just happening by from here or there, feel free to give some feedback or ideas if you can. I very much appreciate it!
